History

Bollinger Piano Tuning began work in the Houston Area in 1974.  Charles (Chuck) Bollinger is the owner/operator of this business concern. For the first couple of years he apprenticed at Vic Smith Piano company in the Heights. 

In 1987, Star Piano was conceived and started to buy and sell guaranteed used pianos.  Several shop locations were used until opening the current location on Lyerly street near I-45 and Airline drive.

Certification

A Piano Technician certificate was issued by Western Iowa Tech in 1974, after Charles completed a year long comprehensive course in piano tuning, repair, and rebuilding.  The course instructor was Bob Ehrlandson from Omaha, Nebraska.
